Dubbed "the hardest-working dog in fashion" by T Magazine, Neville Jacobs—the sweet-natured bull terrier belonging to the ubiquitous Marc—is, in the canine world at least, fast becoming as popular as his owner.
Drawing on photographs taken of Neville by Nicolas Newbold, from puppyhood to today, this charming book not only captures the character of one charismatic animal but also sheds light (and some fur) on the glamorous world of a downtown New York City dog. From the Marc Jacobs offices (where Neville plays a key role) to the streets of Soho, the dog runs of Lower Manhattan, and even private jets to exotic vacations, Neville's life is a whirlwind the likes of which most dogs can only twitch their paws and dream of. Surrounded by beloved friends, both human and canine—from fashion icons like Kristy Turlington, Katie Grand, and Karlie Kloss to Choo Choo Charlie, Nicolas's French bulldog from whom he is inseparable—Neville brings joy and his own unmistakable energy to every adventure.
With classic images from his popular Instagram account as well as outtakes, carefully styled hots from Neville's "Fashion Editorials," and candid snapshots of Neville and Marc together, Neville Jacobs is a treat for any dog lover and a delight for anyone with equal fascination for fashion and dogs alike.

Seattle teacher and part-time blogger Hayden McCall wakes up sporting one hell of a shiner, with the police knocking at his door. It seems that his new crush, Camilo Rodriguez, has gone missing, and they suspect foul play. What happened the night before? And where is Camilo?
Determined to find answers, pint-sized, good-hearted Hayden seeks out two of Camilo's friends—Hollister and Burley—both lesbians and both fiercely devoted to their friend. From them, Hayden learns that Camilo is a "Dreamer" whose parents had been deported years earlier and whose sister Daniela, is presumed to have returned to Venezuela with them. Convinced that the cops won't take a brown boy's disappearance seriously, the girls join Hayden's hunt for Camilo.
The first clues turn up at Barkingham Palace, a pet store where Camilo had worked part time. The store's owner, Della Rupert, claims ignorance, but Hayden knows something is up. And then there's Camilo's ex-boyfriend, Ryan, who's suddenly grown inexplicably wealthy. When Hayden and Hollister follow Ryan to a secure airport warehouse, they make a shocking connection between him and Della—and uncover the twisted scheme that's made both of them rich.
The trail of clues leads them to the grounds of a magnificent estate on an island in Puget Sound, where they'll finally learn the truth about Camilo's disappearance—and the fate of his family.

30 years of living with, training, and rehabilitating dogs has brought Chris into contact with a range of dog personalities. She’s helped both dogs who cowered in fear and those who were ready to bite first, realize that some people could still be trusted. No dog in her experience, however, was quite like Gracie, the little English Bull Terrier she pulled from the fate of being a backyard breeder.
Alternating stories of what life is like with dogs when one of them is an EBT, this handbook also offers recommendations for choosing a breed suitable to the reader’s lifestyle and temperament; tips for sale traveling, feeding, kenneling; and planning for a dog’s future in case a person should ever experience unexpected life circumstances. It’s also a testament to the special bond that people and dogs develop and reaffirms that our lives are often richest when shared with a canine companion.

Her name is Sunny Randall, a Boston P.I. and former cop, a college graduate, an aspiring painter, a divorcee, and the owner of a miniature bull-terrier named Rosie. Hired by a wealthy family to locate their teenage daughter, Sunny is tested by the parents' preconceived notion of what a detective should be. With the help of underworld contacts she tracks down the runaway Millicent, who has turned to prostitution, rescues her from her pimp, and finds herself, at thirty-four, the unlikely custodian of a difficult teenager when the girl refuses to return to her family.
But Millicent's problems are rooted in much larger crimes than running away, and Sunny, now playing the role of bodyguard, is caught in a shooting war with some very serious mobsters. She turns for help to her ex-husband, Richie, himself the son of a mob family, and to her dearest friend, Spike, a flamboyant and dangerous gay man. Heading this unlikely alliance, Sunny must solve at least one murder, resolve a criminal conspiracy that reaches to the top of state government, and bring Millicent back into functional young womanhood.

This is the first of 12 (to date) books featuring Sunny Randall (and Rosie). The first six were written by Robert B. Parker. Following Parker's death in 2010, the series was continued by Mike Lupica (books 7 to 10) and Alison Gaylin (books 11 and 12).

In Perish Twice, Sunny comes to the aid of three very different women, with deadly consequences. Hired by prominent feminist Mary Lou Goddard to protect her from a series of threatening phone calls and shadowy pursuers, Sunny must contend with Goddard's reluctance to reveal all she knows about the unwelcome attentions bestowed on her. When a member of Goddard's staff is gunned down, it's called a case of mistaken identity. And when the murder suspect is found to have eaten his own gun, two cases are settled, though neither to Sunny's satisfaction. At the same time, Sunny's older sister has discovered that her husband has taken up with another woman; and Sunny's best friend, Julie, normally a rock of married-with-children stability, has embarked on an ill-advised affair with a singularly unsuitable man.
Assailed from all sides by people who need her, Sunny begins to look like the most grounded member of her circle. The complex emotional terrain she must navigate on behalf of her sister and her best friend is difficult enough, but the murder investigations lead her to the Boston underworld, where her footing, despite backup from her close friend Spike and ex-husband, Richie, is treacherous at best.
Filled with sharply drawn characters, cracking dialogue, and spot-on psychological insight, this is Parker's most satisfying and resonant novel yet.

Acclaimed photographer Robin Schwartz invites you into the world of dogs, in all its comedy, tenderness and irony. Dog Watching, an unforgettable book of photographs, gives us ninety-five vibrant black and white images of "man's best friend," which delight the eye as they tug at the heart. The book focuses on what might be described as a "dog's eye" view of life, and of the relationships dogs form with people, other dogs, cats, birds, monkeys and even a frog. Without condescending to her subjects, Schwartz unerringly retrieves image after image of mute creatures who seem on the verge of breaking into eloquent speech. In one photograph, a tiny dog dressed in a sweater proudly sits on a chair, guarding a hot dog stand. In another, a dog lies happily curled up in bed, with a framed photo of a dog above.
The poignant and hilarious Dog Watching will change the way you look at your family pet forever.

The eccentric Mortmain family have been rattling around in a vast, decrepit castle for years, gradually slipping into financial ruin. Mortmain is crippled by writer's block, while his beautiful second wife Topaz struggles to be a dutiful stepmother to Rose, Cassandra and Thomas. Rose needs a husband, Thomas an education but Cassandra lives for her writing. Through her gloriously witty and shrewd diaries, she chronicles the trials of family life, the impact of the arrival of a glamorous American family, and the agonies of falling in love for the first time.
A wonderfully quirky coming-of-age story, I Capture The Castle, is an affectionately drawn portrait of one of the funniest families in literature.

One New Zealand infantry battalion which went to the Middle East in 1940 included an unusual member — an Australian bull terrier dog named Major. He was commissioned in 1941, was wounded in the desert in 1942 and then rose to the rank of major, his promotions, like those of the men, recorded in army routine orders.
At the request of the men he served with, the New Zealand Government agreed to waive the law that would have prevented Major from returning to New Zealand when the war was over. Sadly, he died in the winter of 1944 and was buried in Italy alongside two other officers from his regiment. One dog did make it home, however, a small black Italian pooch they called Duda, who was 'captured' near Tobruk and became 'the happiest prisoner of war in the Middle East'.
The Four-Legged Major is a poignant, compelling and often very funny story. Graham Spencer writes not merely of a loyal and courageous dog; he pays tribute, also, to 'the men and women who knew loss, loneliness and hardship unknown to those who followed them'. This is a moving history, often told most eloquently through excerpts from the letters of an infantry captain to the woman who waited six years for him to come home.
This is a book for all those who love animals and for all the many New Zealanders whose lives were touched by the war. When the author completed his research for The Four-Legged Major, he found himself prouder to be a New Zealander than when he began. Readers of this very special story will feel the same.

David, Margot and John Henry were just a bit tired of doing the household chores, so they climbed the ladder to the old hay-loft and tried to think of a plan. At last Margot's "Great Idea" occurred to her—and what an extraordinary idea it was! It led to the children forming their own private company which they called "Pets Limited". With John Henry as travelling representative, they undertook the grooming of all the dogs in the district. At first business prospered and it looked as though they might earn enough money to carry out Margot's great scheme. Then John Henry overdid things and their secret plan had to be revealed. However, this did not turn out to be as dreadful as it seemed, for Major Warren also had a good idea—a much more practicable one than Margot's!
This lively and amusing story is another in the well-known series by Vernon Stokes and Cynthia Harnett and provides ample scope for these artists' admirable portrayal of dogs and children.
